Beginning July 31, 2010 an individual shall not engage in the business of mortgage loan originator with respect to any dwelling located in this state without first obtaining and maintaining annually a license and or registration under this act. Each licensed mortgage loan originator must register with and maintain a valid unique identifier issued by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing system and Registry. This course is approved by Nationwide Mortgage Licensing system for a person to obtain a Mortgage Loan Originator License (MLO). Beginning July 31, 2010, persons required to be licensed under the act cannot perform loan originator services until the following requirements are met:
